Sleeping??

I don't normally post pictures of my girls on the blog but this one had to make it. I was watching Sarah while she was home sick for a few days. She said she was tired so I told her to go in her room and sleep. I thought she was sleeping in there it was so quiet. Well...apparently...she couldn't sleep without ALL of her favorite toys. When I came in to check on her I laughed so hard I almost woke her up. LOL!!

How many toys can you count in these pictures?

And both legs in 1 pant leg?? This girl is so creative!

Did I mention there were layers??? A spatula?

Facial Hair February and Mustache March

So in the last few month of dental school a bunch of the Seniors got together and decided to grow out full beards in February (Facial hair February) to eventually have great mustaches for March (Mustache March). So here is the final product. You can see Chris with a full beard in the bowling pictures below. Sadly I didn't have any pictures of him with a beard besides those.

After a day of a goatee sp? Chris went for the handle bar mustache style.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK!!!

The past 3 weeks I have been SO SICK!! I honestly don't remember the last time I was so sick and it lasted so long. I thank the little girls I take care of for this one!! I had a high fever for 4 days, lost my voice for a full week, and then was JUST enough better to work and teach classes but not feeling 100% for 2 + more weeks. STILL not well!!! And it has been almost 4 weeks now! 2 trips to the Dr. have said..."Sorry...it's a virus and you just have to WAIT it out". Well...I don't live up to my name so well when it comes to sickness. I get really depressed when I am sick for long periods of time (more than a day LOL). So my sweet husband one day brought home these bright cheery flowers to cheer me up. What a sweetie! Their my favorite Gerbera Daisies! The crazy thing is that they lasted 2 FULL weeks! Thanks Babe!

BOWLING!!

Our friends Ashley and Austin came to visit us for the weekend which always means fun times, late nights, and lots of games. We decided to go bowling and the night just kept getting crazier and crazier.

Ashley and Austin in a cute pose.

Ashley started off the night by falling on the slippery floor. She was a sport about it all though!

Austin doing the "rooster dance"

Yoga and bowling? Not sure what I was thinking here but we were all REALLY crazy that night.

Chris bowling.

Not sure what I am laughing about here....Seriously..what was in the water??

Itchy face!! LOVELY! My favorite you can see.

My mountain man. See the previous posts about Chris' phases of facial hair.

Ashley's camera has this 5 quick shot feature so we decided to play around with it.

We get a pretty good kick out of ourselves as you can see....

See what happens when you mix sugar, bowling, and a camera?

Yikes!!

OK...so the story behind this video.....We were not having the best night as bowlers. We kept bowling and EVERYONE had just 1 pin that would not go down. SO we decided to up the anty of a Strike dance. It kept getting crazier because no one was getting a strike. So...I finally was dared to get a strike and make a really loud dance. Well....I got a strike, did my dance, took my dare, and....REALLY embarassed myself. Amazingly...we got this on camera. But hey!!! On the bright side...I have proof that I can bowl right??

Time with the Bowdens

The fun never ends with Ashley and Austin. We decided to drive up to the top of Mt. Tam and hike to the summit. You can see all of the Bay area in a full 360 view. Behind them is San Francisco and Tiburon. We love this spot!!

Cute couple.

Austin at death defying heights! Yikes!

Austin's King of the World picture. Don't look down!

Goofing off at the summit.

After the hike we went for a picnic at Stinson Beach. It was beautiful. The sun was setting and Ashley suggested we take some pictures. We liked this one alot!

Our Strange Puppy!

Our little Maximus never ceases to keep us entertained!

You can tell how much he loves Chris. He is always trying to snuggle him in any kind of way even if it's in some awkward position. He's such a cuddle dog!

I came home one day and found him lying on the top of the couch looking out the window...YES acting like a cat!! He sat up before I could get a picture. It was so funny!

And Finally...this is what Maximus does when he hears sirens from firetrucks and ambulances. We finally got some good video of it. Yes...he is actually capable of making noise!

Blog Slacker

Ok....so I have been crazy busy! Blogging has slipped down the priority list and I'm really sorry to those who noticed. I still have more to blog about but don't have any more time right now. I've been picking up a lot of extra aerobics classes because people have been really sick lately and added some more to my own schedule. I literally feel like all I do is Work, Eat, Sleep, and teach aerobics. My attire nowadays mostly consists of workout gear. Just trying to save for after graduation. BTW we still don't know where we are going. We won't for a while but trust me...I'm stressing like crazy over it. Chris has been SO BUSY with school that he doesn't even have time to stress about it. If he did I swear he would have a mental breakdown. LOL. 3 1/2 months and counting.....So excited, scared, nervous. Eek!

Happy Birthday Craiger!

In Chris' group of friends from school, we rotate having dinner parties and when we could host it happened to be Craig's birthday. We love Craig. He wanted a "wicked good" cookies cake so it was literally just a stack of my cookies with a candle. I've been making a lot of those lately (Steffi...). I didn't take any pictures of dinner but I made a traditional Italian meal with Stuffed Mushrooms, fruit salsa, and homemade wheat cinnamon sugar tortilla chips (not so Italian but yummy!) for an appetizer. Anitpasta and homemade Italian herb rolls with oil and vinegar dipping sauce for our first course, and Lasagna for dinner. Dinner was the cookie cake and ice cream.

Make a wish Craig!

Then for entertainment we played cranium, catch phrase, and Kareoke. We got so loud and rowdy especially during Kareoke that our neighbors (who never complain) came up and complained. They said the whole ceiling was shaking. LOL. Yepp.....that's the Adams. There were 9 people....

The Top of Mt. Tamalpais or Mt. Tam

So Chris and I have lived here almost 3 years and have this huge mountain in our backyard. We were always saying...we should hike it but wanted to do it on a warm clear day. Well we had some days that were in the high 70's a few weekends ago and we decided to go for it. Turns out....you can drive literally to about a mile away from the summit. So it was more of a scenic drive with a small hike than a day of hiking. Here we are at the summit and you can see all of San Francisco and Marin.

You can see the city and bay bridge in the far distance.

One of the lookouts. Makes for a pretty cool Titanic scene but it was a little too high for my comfort level.

Another shot. The wind was blowing like crazy!

On the left in the far back in Mt. Diablo which is one of the highest points in Northern California. Apparently from there you can see the whole northern part of the state.

And behind me between those mountains in the valley looking think between them is the San Andreas Fault Line. Yep....Mom I was that close!

Chris posing for a shot. He's doing this long hair thing lately. His friends at school call this the "Beatles do". I like it longer and it even looks good when he spikes it up!

After our Mt. Tam hikes since we had so much extra time we drove down to Stinson. Who says you can't have the mountains AND the beach? It was really warm here. There were actually people swimming and out in bikinis. We aren't that crazy! The only downfall of the day was that we didn't bring Maximus. The signs said no dogs but everyone was out hiking with their dogs. He would have loved this!

Cold Rainy Day

So we have had some pretty cold rainy days the past few weeks and one particularly rainy and cold day I was sitting with Maximus on the couch watching a movie. When I had to leave I thought it would be nice to just leave him in the blanket. I left the house and came back 6 hours later. He was still in the exact same spot like he had never moved! Guess he likes the warmth too. I am ALWAYS cold. I get so COLD and just can't get warm sometimes. That's why we have this heated blanket. And when I say cold in CA....Mom that means 60. LOL. Not the winter whiteout 10 below in Boston. I just don't know how I did it!

Little Miss Fixit

Sorry the image quality is so poor. This was taken on my phone by a 6 year old. LOL.

So after my appendix came out and all of our winter traveling, it had been almost 3 weeks since I used my car. We drove it twice before I had to get up one morning early and go to work. It had a little bit of trouble starting each time but we didn't think much of it. Well....it turns out my battery had completely died! I went out that morning and it wouldn't start. Chris was gone at school since he leaves at like 7am and I was leaving at 7:30. So I talked our neighbor into helping me out. He didn't have cables or even know how to do it but he at least had a running car. So I had him sit back and watch me work wonders. The car started right up and took me to work but it still needed a new battery. The repair shop wanted to charge me $150! Well I went to Costco (this is all in the POURING rain that day) baught a battery for 60$ and installed it myself. Easy as pie. This is me in the garage of where I work because it was super gross outside. Thanks Dad for teaching me how to fix stuff!
